Tarpon Springs

Yesterday my family and I drove over to Tarpon Springs Sponge Docks...Tarpon Springs is known for its shrimping industry as well as its sponges. Most of the bathroom sponges we use today, will have come from this area of Florida and Red Lobsters shrimp will have hailed from this area as well.
We decided to take a boat tour our to the Gulf of Mexico...what a beatufiful day for it. We didnt see any dolphins or Manatees, but we had an awesome day. We stopped at one of the islands to go sea shell hunting, and didnt find many shells, but the photos i grabbed, gosh i have lots to scrap now..
Galen and Elijah below... hunting for shells

this was a Eagles nest in the midst of the Island that was less then one mile long.

this was a fishing boat that had just returned and the pelicans will sit and wait for a free lunch. I could post more, but thought this would be enough for you to browse. I also took a bunch of some of the homes along the Gulf, and they are absolutely fabulous....
