Karan here to host the Quick Quotes blog for you today and being most of us are planning summer activities with the family, going camping, fishing, canoeing, or just doing day trips to the beach, i thought it would be perfect to do a project with the Be Bold line and share a layout with some left over photos from Florida.
And i also know, that up until now, i have not done too many layouts based on my love for multi media on a project, well, this time i felt, im just going to do it. Many projects i do here at home with my personal layouts have many layers of mist and gesso, and layers of embellishments, i thought this would be perfect for a project with Be Bold, i hope you enjoy it.
so again this project you will see i fussy cut those surfboards ( they are pretty awesome to use as elements) here is a detail shot of the surfboards, and no UTEE effect on these ones, they are just adhered with foam adhesive.
i used a kraft envelope as a partial photo mat and adhered it to the left side of my photo, fussy cut the moments sentiment from the 6x6 paper pad. several layers of the be bold pattern papers were used and heavily distressed.
being my photo was a 4x6, that allowed me to determine the layers of other papers, which were cut 1/4" larger then the one below it, then i just layered them together after doing a heavy distress edge. Here is a video on how i achieved my layered look of pattern papers.
i tore strips of unbleached canvas and when i added it to the background after it was misted, i thought it would look great to just leave those loose threads attached, so i did that and added some gesso on top.
I hope you have enjoyed todays tutorial and that you get creative with your layering on your projects.
