Now, as i stated on my first post for CE, i am not a big mood board fan. I never have been and, likely, never will be. LOL!!!! i like to do my own thing so what i love about being on the C E Team, is it is challenging me to step out of my comfort zone. We were only suppose to use four ( i used five) ( see im not so good with mood boards, lol!!) From the image, i grabbed the blues, the yellows and the oranges and came up with this.
the photo is of our grandson when he was a month old, he is now three months old, and he is such a sweet little man. He is sleeping on grandpas chest here and looks so peaceful. I just had to scrap this photo ( and likely will a few more times) so i used mist/paint, gesso, trim, bling and a flourish. I thought the heart flourish would be so perfect for this challenge.
The large heart i cut in half so i could wrap it around the photo, the smaller one, i cut in half to have two flourishes, which were gessoed, painted with misted, shadowed with big brush pens, and dabbed with Lumiere Gold.
Here are some detail photos: Faber Castell Gelatos are awesome to work with, i find i am using them more on my projects. You can do much with them with a bit of gesso and water :D
the canvas letters were colours with the gelatos too, below is some flourish detail
you can see how the mist in the background blended so beautifully with the gelatos.
the flowers, were misted and touched with Lumiere Gold ( love that stuff)
i added Lumiere to the larger heart flourish on the edges to frame the heart, i think it has given it such a classic look.
