★ Smile - Heartfelt Creations

October is soon at an end and I have one last project for the month to share with you.  This is another photo that Linda from Heartfelt Creations sent to me and I was thrilled to scrapbook it. I used the All Geared Up Collection ( imagine that) I felt this line really suited the steam punk chipboard from Creative Emebellishments and Tattered Angels Glimmer mist was used on all my projects this month.

I adhered some of the chipboard under the main background paper to look like it was popping through and the effect in real life looks kinda cool.

I hope you have enjoyed my projects created with this collection, i sure enjoyed working with it. :D

Other Products: Creative Embellishments Chipboard, Edge distresser walnut Distress Ink; Prima chalk ink; Brads in copper, gold and screw top. Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist; Gesso ; gold lumiere paint; radiant rain in solar gold. Heidi Swapp chipboard word smile. Color Box Gold Foil Ink. Foam adhesive
Instructions: Begin with a 12x12 background from the Geared up Collection. Ink edges with walnut stain and dab a bit of Baja Blue. Cut two of the 6x6 papers out, edge distress and ink with walnut stain Cut a coordinating paper 11.5x11.5. Edge Distress with distresser and ink with walnut stain. Take the splotch stamp from the Shifting Gears Precut Set and go around the entire edge using walnut stain, then go around again using a blue prima chalk ink, then go around again with a gold ink ( color Box) Layers these colors right on top of another. Mat the 5x7 photo with black and attach the two 6x6 papers by offsetting them as shown. Prepare the creative embellishments 6x6 panel, cut it in half from corner to corner on a diagonal prime with gesso, then ink with Prima Chalk Ink. Center photo mat collage on 11.5x11.5 background, mark with pencil top left, and bottom right corners where you want the cuts in the paper to be. Create about a 3" cut in paper and fold/curl back edges as shown. Ink these folded back edges with walnut stain. Adhere the cut 6x6 panels underneath the 11.5x11.5 paper so the gears show through the cuts. If you find you want to make the cut larger, you can do that before you adhere the chipboard. Then adhere this to the main background paper. Prepare the rest of the chipboard pieces by applying gesso to prime them, then ink with Prima chalk ink. Lightly mist pieces with verdigris/bronze if needed. Add some speckles of gold lumiere paint by placing some on end of a paint brush and flicking the bristles towards the chipboard. Cut out several (9 - 10 sets) Geared up flowers from geared up papers, inking some with Prima chalk ink; mist with glimmer mist if needed. Mold using molding mat. Attach gold, copper and screw type looking brads to centers. Center photo mat as shown on background. Adhere chipboard pieces as shown and layer the geared up flowers on top allowing chipboard to show through edges and sides as shown in layout. Add gold speckles to the flowers with the gold lumiere paint. Feel free to add as many of the geared up die flowers to your project. Attach smile chipboard to photo bottom as shown.
