The Birds and Blooms which was recently released really inspired me to work with some photos that a friend took of hubby and I
the dies in this collection are really to DIE for, and i feel are a must have in your collection, the branches are AH-MAZZ-ING!

i used the branch die and tucked it to look like it was coming in out of the frame

Instructions: Frame: to create frame, take paper that has hydrangeas on it, place in your trimmer and place paper at left side at the 11" mark . Move blade down to 1" mark. Take your blade and go down the 1" mark from top. Cut paper down to the 11" mark and lift, continue doing this on all four sides until you have created a 1" frame. Ink with Vintage photo and tahtiti, if needed tone down with Coconut white if needed. Use the inside of this to create some layers for your photo, or, to stamp and cut your flowers onto. White wash the frame with gesso watered down. Cut into each corner and attach brands as shown. Begin stamping and die work by stamping and cutting out three sets of the Leafy Branch flower bloom using tahiti chalk ink, onto one of the blue papers in the collection, lightly ink edges, cut and mold using molding mat, apply Prills to center. Stamp onto two of each of the leafy branch precut set (branches) using vintage photo distress ink onto java cardstock. Using the Coconut White chalk ink, stamp 3 of the five leaf stem from the leafy branch (leaf) onto white cardstock, mold using molding mat; Using Birds and Bloom precut set stamp and cut 11 sets of the three leaf stem with coconut white chalk ink onto white cardstock, mold and set aside. Take your 5x7 photo and add a black mat. Tie Seam binding around photo in a small bow, and tei gold thread around in bow as shown. Cut two 5 1/4"x7 1/4" mats from papers in the collection, edge distress edges and ink with vintage photo. Attach to phopto by off setting them a bit as shown Punch out two strips of the flower burst border from a blue paper in the collection lightly ink edges with Tahiti chalk ink; Cut two of the large deleiate doilies in a coordinating paper, lightly ink with Tahiti chalk inka and dab a bit with vintage photo. Layer in the burlap strip as desired; tuck in doilies as shown. Cut a flag type cut on a 2"x3" from a blue paper, ink with vintage photo, look for the Memories tag, cut, ink with vintage photo and attach to banner, tuck under photo on left side as shown. Look for "with love" tag, ink with forest moss. Look for "Let Love Bloom: sentiment, cut from strip, ink edges, and attach to a 3x3 mat tuck under photo at top as shown. place this on gessoed cardboard, draw around where you would like the photo to go so you do not place glass glitter or beads in this area as it will be covered with photo. Attach two five leaf steams to top right side of photo with small flower bloom attach, tuck in if needed. attach third five leaf bloom on bottom right.
Corrugated Cardboard: Peel of layer or kraft paper so the corrugated shows. paint with gesso and let dry. when dry, Spritz areas with Trunk Bay and Radiant Rain Solar Gold; Determine where you would like to place your glass glitter, apply droplets of art institute dries clear in areas, then sprinkle mini beads, glass glitter in copper and pearl to add texture to background. Be sure this is completely dry and all glitter and beads are adhered well with Art Institute dries clear. Attach frame above to cardboard base and attach base to 12x12 white cardstock for extra strength and durability. attach photo layers as shown, and branches, leafs and blooms as shown. complete layout as shown.
