Thank You Card Tin - Heartfelt Creations

Hello Everyone, its that time of week again and I am here to share with you a gift idea i designed using an old Maya Road Chipboard Tin and the new Birds and Blooms Collection from Heartfelt Creations.  

I have  always hung on to these thinking maybe one day i would use them, well, the time has come. 

My idea behind this particular project was to give it as a gift filled with Thank you Cards using the Rectangle Cut Mat and Create 1A  and 1B set together along with the Birds and Blooms Collection.


Are those fluffy birdies not the cutest?  Like Seriously! Below are the three cards together that are in the tin.

Other Materials: Forest moss distress ink; May Arts gold thread, organdy ribbon; Bazzill white cardstock; Maya Road Jonathan Alphabet Tin; Maya road trim for around trim. Distress Markers - Broken China; forest moss; rusty hinge; peeled paint, concord grape; Palette Ink-Moulin Rouge; Ranger Stickles Diamond.

 Instructions: Tin: Begin by tracing out top of tin by removing lid from can and tracing on one of the papers in the collection. Using a corner rounder, round off the corners, apply foam adhesive and art institute dries clear to tin and ahere paper. Using the Cut Mat Create 1A die, large rectangle cut out on pattern paper and adhere to bottom of tin and Inside lid. Using Cut Mat Create 1A die, large rectangle die, once again, cut out on white cardstock, adhere this to the top of the tin. Cut the large rectangle 1B out on the of the pattern papers, wrap ribbon and gold thread around as shown, then adhere to the tin. Using Forest Moss distress ink, stamp, cut and mold two of the Birds and Blooms out onto white cardstock. Mold flowers and leaves. Cut stamp and Mold two sets of the flowers using Moulin Rouge, lightly ink edges and mold with molding mat. Place Art Institute dries clear in center and sprinkle with yellow Prills. Stamp cut and mold two sets of the Fluffy Birdies onto canson water colour paper, colour with distress markers, Cut with HCD 756 die and mold with molding mat. adhere three of the fluffy birdies with foam adhesive and complete lid. Using Small rectangle from Cut Mat Create 1A die cut out a rectangle, ink with forest moss and adhere to center of tin; cut out thank you sentiment into flag shape ink with Moulin Rouge adhere to rectangle as shown allowing blooms to drape on top.

Note Cards: Using Cut Mat Create 1A die and white cardstock, take three pieces of 6x12 carstock, fold in half. Place edge of die on fold and cut out three note cards. Using Cut Mat Create 1B Die, cut out 1 piece onto pattern paper adhere to card bases. Tie ribbon around and tie in bow on one. Stamp out Birds and Blooms onto white cardstock using Forest Moss, cut in half and use half for card as shown. Mold Leaves and attach remaining leaves from above. Using canson water colour paper stamp Hydranege Bird Bath and Fluffy Birdies using Black Archival Ink, colour with distress markers. Using Cut Mat Create 1A and 1B dies, cut out smaller rectangle on Bird Bath, mat with 1B die. adhere to card base and tie gold thread around. Cut out Hydrangea bird bath with 1B die, and adhere to card base and tie ribbon around and again a gold thread bow. Dab ranger stickles onto hydrangea flowers on image, and in water in bird bath, let dry. complete all details on cards as shown.

  2. This is awesome Karen! And I too have many of these tins tucked away (LOL!) and actually have one in the works! This is so inspiring, I think I'm going to have to finish mine!! I love how you added the ruffle border and the detail on each piece! Great job!!
