Happy Birthday Flute Card: Heartfelt Creations

Happy Wednesday and welcome back to my blog today for some added inspiration.  Today is my final post with the Sunrise Lily collection, its been so much fun the past four weeks to share my creativity with you using this fabulous collection.

Today I am sharing with you a Birthday Flute card.  The flute is actually an image from one of the stamps in the collection, and i wanted to mimic the flute by rolling pieces of paper.

i then wrapped pieces of Stamping UP Twine around the top of the flutes for added detail to mimic the flute, this actually took a bit longer to do than i originally thought, but i love how it turned out.

HCD1 736-Classic Leaf Die
HCPC 3545-Open Leaf Cling Stamp
1259723 Art Institute (Dries Clear)
HCST1-401- Deluxe Flower Shaping Tool Kit
71035 - Dark Brown Chalk Ink

Other Materials: White Card Stock; Orange Card Stock; Black cardstock; Diamond Stickles; Stamping Up Twine; Distress Ink in Aged Mahogony;
Peeled Paint; Wild Honey; Rusty Hinge, foam adhesive, trinket pins; Gold Organza Ribbon;

Instructions: Card Base is 6x6, on orange card stock.  Search for 6x6 card panel that i used and cut out.  Attach gold Organza ribbon around and tie in bow, attach to card base.  Stamp and cut two sets of Sunrise Lily on white card with Dark Brown Chalk Ink, colour using distress inks; mist back lightly with water and mold using molding mat and stylus. Colour leaves with peeled paint.  Stamp Sunrise Lily Flute onto 5 1/4 x 5 1/4 white card with dark brown chalk ink.
Stamp sentiment from same set onto white card with Rusty Hinge Distress Ink. Stamp and cut three sets of classic leaf onto white card using dark brown chalk ink. Cut out three stamens on black card. For the flute: cut 9 strips from darkorange paper in collection measuring 4” x 3/4 inch, mist back of strips with water, and roll into small tubes, use Dries Clear to adhere, when almost dry, roll like a rolling pin to achieve final shape. Ink with rusty hinge and vintage photo for added detail on flute.  Tie light twine around the top of all the rolled flutes and cut according to size on stamped image, adhere with Dries Clear. Cut sentiment into a flag point, adhere Lilies, lily leaves and classic
leaves as shown.  Cut a 5 1/2 x 5 1/2 square out of orange card and mat to card base, attach trinket pins to knot.  Using Diamond Stickles, apply on leaves and lilies for added detail.

Happy Scrapping!
