Classic Wedding Altered Box- Heartfelt Creations

Welcome to my blog today, today i am sharing another altered project with you.  This is based on the Tim Holtz Ideaology boxes that you may have seen.  While at Mega Meet in May  i was so inspired by the Stampendous Booth, saw a few of these on display and loved the look of them.

The photos are of a friends wedding that we were honoured to attend last fall, Tina and Mike are the wedding couple and the photos were taken by Darington Photo in Barrie. This project did take alot of time to complete, with the stages in priming and layering the outside of the box, the inside took just as long as each little compartment needed detailing. But i so love how this turned out and want to make another one so my Friends can have it on display in their home.

Watch this Video on how to create the Classic Rose here: ( link: https://www.heartfeltcreations.us/video/129/how-to-create-dimensional-roses)

Instructions: begin by priming the alterations box edges with gesso; gesso insides of boxes as well; cover front and back of box with paper and inside flap with paper from wedding collection.  Prime Clip board handle with gesso, apply texture paste and let dry; add some trunk bay glimmer mist and gold glimmer mist ad cowboy glaze to create a patina look. Do same with the photo frame too. Once box is covered with paper, ink with vintage photo. Cut pieces of paper to fit inside of boxes. Add your embellishments; trinkets; bottles filled with crystal clear; Cut and stamp five sets of classic rose and five sets of classic rose vine; color and form roses and then leave a few singles for inside.  Add pollens to single flowers. Add crystal clear to flowers and leaves for added detail. Add photo to outside frame, inside clipboard and to inside of box; attach lantern and run cord to back so the batter box can be attached. Add corner tabs to outside edge of frame for extra security on edges. Detail edges and inside with Gold Alchemy wax. Add flowers to inside. Just have fun with it.
