★ Adjust the Sails (Heartfelt Creations}

May 6, 2014

Its Heartfelt Creations Wednesday and I am here to share a mixed media layout with you. The photo is of my youngest taken last year in Panama City Florida, we were on the Gulf and it was pretty windy that day, as you can see with his hair being tossed about

This layout was created using the Balmy Breeze Collection from HFC, i think it is still one of my favorites.  The blue tones lend it to any masculine or beach page.  Being i have a house full of men, it makes it easy for me to head to this collection for inspiration.

the paper used for the background is from the collection, i just primed it with gesso and then played with my mists and Faber Castel gelatos to achieve what you see.  The stamped sail boat was stamped on watercolour paper, then coloured with distress markers, the sails sentiment, i did on my computer with the Great Vibes font, it suited this pages perfectly.  I also mixed some sentiments and elements from the Celebrate the journey collection, which blends beautifully into the look here.

the chipboard gate is from Creative Embellishments, it was primed with gesso, texture paste added for dimension, then misted and dabbed with chalk ink. the 72 count pearls is such a great added touch.
