Valentines-Sunrise Lily Style - Heartfelt Creations

Feb 19, 2016

Hello and welcome to my blog today.  i wanted to share a valentines card i created using the Sunrise Lily Collection.  Yes, most Valentines are red, but i thought i would incorporate the new Sunrise Lily into a card for my hubby we both love lilies. SO here is my card and a quick step tutorial

Materials Needed:
HCDP1 -263 Sunrise Paper Collection
HCPC=3720 Sunrise Lily Cling Stamp Set
HCD1-787 Sunrise Lily Die
HCD1 779- Regal Borders and Pocket Die
HCD1=728 – Timeless Amour Die
HCD2-750 – Cut Mat Create 1B Die
1259723 Art Institute (Dries Clear)
HCST1-401- Deluxe Flower Shaping Tool Kit
71035 - Dark Brown Chalk Ink
DDOTS Double Dots Foam Squares

Other Materials: Distress Inks: Peeled Paint; Rusty Hinge; Wild Honey and Aged Magohany. Want 2 Scrap White Pearls – 72 count; Diamond Stickles. White cardstock; vanilla cardstock for base.

Instructions: Card base is 6x6 so begin with a vanilla card base 6x6. Search for Card panel in collection that I used, we will be using a 6x6 and an A2 panel. Ink edges on A2 panel with Rusty Hinge Distress Ink; Using Cut Mat Create cut out three of the small flourish on white card and also use the middle die to cut out a green panel from another 6x6 panel. Lightly ink edges with Peeled Paint.

Cut out heart from Timeless amour Die on white card, and the smaller heart on white card with the inset cut out on orange pattern from the collection.  Here is what we have cut out so far
do you notice that border on either side of the A2 card panel, let me show you how i did that.

Next: lets create a border using the Swirling Regal Background Border Dies C. Cut a 12 x 2” strip from the light yellow damask paper in the collection and set the C die on top tape it down and run it through your machine.

Lift up the die and line up the last small dot on the paper, with the first dot on the die and tape this down and run it through your machine

You will end up with a beautiful border that looks like this

cut this in half and match the size with the A2 panel, ink edges with rusty  hinge and adhere to back of A2 Panel like so
simple and gorgeous right?

Next lets Stamp a set of Sunrise Lilies with Dark Brown Ink and lets colour them. First begin by colouring the centers with a dauber and wild honey distress ink.

Go around those outside edges of the wild honey with rusty hinge

And then around the rusty hinge with aged Mahogany,

ink leaves with peeled paint, follow Emma Lous Video here on how to mold these flowers:

here are my flowers

to complete the Lily, we need to just add some diamond Stickles
Look for the Always and Forever sentiment and lightly ink edges with Aged Mahogany, and now we can begin to assemble our card.

Diamond Stickles, what an awesome added touch that is, but it sure adds a touch of elegance!

Happy Scrapping!
