Berry Birthday with Inside Card Scene

Apr 27, 2016

Welcome back today! I am continuing with the Berry Cafe collection today.  Although my card looks similar to one i created last week, there are a couple of differences,

First of all, I designed this card using one of the FlipFold Inserts and keep looking below as on the inside of the card i have created a scene, i think its adorable.

below is the detail for the front of the card, the chipboard is just an added layer but the beehive and the blossoms and berries, i just had so much fun playing with this collection.

Cutting out the children images really brought back memories of picking wild strawberries with one of my Aunties down on the Island at my Grandmothers place.  We would go and pick those tiny wild strawberries for hours until we had a bowl full, enough for ice cream, they were always the sweetest. We were not allowed to eat any until they were washed, so we couldn't wait to get back to Grandmas to wash those berries.

here is the right side of the inside card open, the little girl was die cut form the paper, the blooms cut, stamped and coloured,  the fence was cut from the die cut paper

Instructions: Base is 6x6 Flip Fold Panel with pocket on inside for gift card.  Cut a 5.25 x 5.25 inch square from the green paper in sample, distress edges. Adhere to red card 6x6 panel.  Cut out circle in card panel and adhere to center of Scrapinec Chipboard. Cut out regal border again on white card, tuck in behind 6x6 panel and adhere to FlipFold. Attach two magnets so flip fold can close.   Look for the paper in collection that allows you to die cut the images on, using the border die cut out the girl, the boy and girl at the table; two strawberry clusters and one fence.  Stamp and cut four sets of blossoms; two sets of clusters for front of card on white card using dark brown chalk ink. Stamp and cut a honey comb on white card; colour with Wild Honey. Colour berries with Aged Mahogany and the leaves with peeled paint.  Mold using Deluxe Shaping Kit. Dab a bit of adhesive in Blossom centers and add Prills. Cut two 6x6 panels from paper with fence and adhere to inside to create a scene.  Layer with foam adhesive the die cut fence and place girl in back as shown.  Attach berry clusters and blossoms as shown.  Look for sentiment and flag cut the ends. Assemble card, then add diamond stickles on leaves and detail blossoms, add glossy accents to berry seeds for added dimension.
