Sunflower mini Flip Album - Heartfelt Creations

Happy Wednesday Friends and welcome to my blog today.  Heard to believe we are into October already.  This year has just flown by, it just seemed like yesterday we were planning our May camping weekend. And to think that next weekend is Thanksgiving here in Canada.

So Heartfelt Creations recently came out with oval and circle layered cards, i look at these not just  as a layered card, but also as a  mini album.  This week i created one using the circle layered cards by covering the cut outs with pattern papers.

I used the black layered circle cards and put them together, then i created a envelope flap by Taking a 8x6 sheet of card stock and score at 4.5; 5.5 and 6.5 to create a flap cover for the mini album  covering the open end of the album and attaching it with magnets.

Here are inside details, i added some A2 panels through out, but kept it pretty simple.

So backside of the flap cover and first page

second and third page

4th and 5th pages

7th and 8th pages

These could be such cute little brag books to keep on your coffee table or end table,

Here are some outside photos and detail shots.

Hope you enjoyed this weeks inspiration!
Happy Scrapping!

Other Materials: Rich Cocoa Archival Ink; white cardstock; Distress Inks: Peeled Paint; Vintage Photo; Rusty Hinge; Gold Alchemy wax; seed beads, black cardstock; May arts Ribbon and Gold Thread; Maya Road Trinket Pins; Glue Gloss. Black Chipboard

Instructions: Put the 6x6 Layered cards together to form a mini album. Do not worry about the circle cut outs as we will be covering those with papers. Take a 8x6 sheet of card stock and score at 4.5; 5.5 and 6.5 to create a flap cover for the mini album Fold on score lines and on the 4.5 end; cut corners so end resembles an envelope.  Attach long end to back of album and place on album so envelope end folds over front cover. Then attach your magnets,
one on flap and one to center of the front cover of the album. To make this album more sturdy, i did add black chipboard to front and back and flap. Cut a 12x12 piece of black chipboard to fit these sizes. Cover front and back of all pages, front and back of album and front and back of cover flap with papers from Classic Sunflower Collection.  Next, stamp and cut out your sunflowers using rich coca archival ink on white card your classic rose leaves; Color using distress inks.  On black cardstock cut your botanic window; festive holiday die and delicate border die. I used the delicate border die on the first page to hold some photo mats in place. Mold and shape your leaves and flowers using the Deluxe Flower Shaping Kit; detail with crystal clear.
I cut out some A2 panels from the collection and used throughout the album.  I kept this album inside pretty simple, but put lots of details on the cover.  Add ribbon; trinket pins and gold thread to cover. Detail the sunflowers and leaves with Crystal Clear and dab touches of gold wax.
You now have a fun way to use the oval or circle layered cards.
