One of A Kind - Heartfelt Creations

Hi Friends and thank you for visiting my blog today.  I am sharing another layout with you today using the papers from the Camelia Carnation collection from Heartfelt Creations.

The cute little baby, his name is Boston is he is the sone of Bonnie Lynn and grandson to my friend Judie.  When i saw these photos of him at a recent crop i begged them to scrapbook some, so here is the first one.

I used a Want2Scrap brick stencil on the background, texture paste and used Art Anthology mists to create the rest.  Here are some detail shots.

the brick work turned out awesome on this project.

that green hat was my source of inspiration for the colors, isnt he the cutest.

The roses have a touch of orange in them, but they look pink in these photos

Scrapiniec chipboard was used to add some details; i love how this one turned out,

Happy Scrapping

select 3 12 x 12 papers from the collection.  1 for the background and 2 coordinating.  Cut the two down to 6x12 and then tear down center to create a total of 4 pieces approximately 3 x 12. Distress edges and then ink with vintage photo. Do a white wash on one with gesso. Layer these on the main background paper as shown in my layout and pencil on the background an outline. This will determine where we will place the brick template work.

Background: Give the main background a whitewash with gesso, this will protect the paper and prevent it from warping. Heat set to dry. Using a brick template and texture paste Apply the design down the center area of the page staying within the pencil marks. Heat set to dry. Using the Art Anthology Sprays, apply color to the bricks, heat setting in between each color. And use water to tone down if necessary. Use Minx to add some darker colors to some bricks and gold alchemy wax to others. Last step is to splatter gesso; and minx across all three papers to add detail. Adhere these together as shown
. Cut out your flowers and leaves on canson water color paper using archival coffee ink. Color and lightly mist, then place in mold. You will need 4 classic rose vines and 4 sets of the medium classic roses. Attach the stamens.

Cut out two 6x6 panels; one will be cut down to 5.5 x 5.5. Edge distress both.  Mat the 5.5x5 photo with black cardstock 5.75 x 5.25. Attach these together and adhere the chipboard in behind as shown.  Attach the chipboard title.

Cut out a festive holiday die in white card and use these in the upper left corner for detail, placing the say it in crystals gold flourish underneath as shown. Layer the classic rose vine and roses on top.  Assemble the layout beginning with the photo; add the say it in crystals, the classic rose vines and roses. Detail with Crystal Clear.  For extra stability I did mount the layout on a 12x12 piece of chipboard.
