Shine like Stars - Dusty Attic

HI friends and welcome back. I have a project share for you today designed for Dusty Attic. Todays project is a mixed media piece on a 6 x8 flat board panel.

The base  of this is a 6x8 flatboard canvas, inspired by moons by Nuneka, i really wanted to set out a starry night. Here in northern Ontario, the skies are filled with bright stars, and the full moon adds much light needed in an area where street lights are non existent

Using gel medium i began adhering all my elements to the panel, setting the large moon off the panel a bit and adding one of the smaller moons to the middle,

I applied white gesso to everything once it was all glued down, when dry, i used  some fluid acrylic from Golden, and my favorite rust paste,
Added in some Vintage Gold Paste and gold prills.

The background in panel really does not do this project justice, it looks like a sheet of metal and i love how this turned out. I hope i have inspired you to try these out.

Thank you for dropping by and I hope you like my project  this month, until next time, Happy Scrapping

Materials:

Mini Cogs #2; Big Moon by Nuneka; Moons #2, Industrial Stars ; Nuts and Bolts

Enjoy the Little Things - Elizabeth Craft Designs

Hello and welcome back! Today I am sharing a project with you designed for Elizabeth Craft Designs. I am using some of  the new Florals Volume 4 Dies to create this stunning Floral Bucket Frame.

I began by cutting out the frame die four times to create the frame, for this project i did not cut it down and the overall measurement of this project is 8.5 x 8.5  with the inside frame pattern paper measurement being 7.5x7.5

coloring the Florals with Kitsch Flamingo and a mix of antique linen

coloring the leaves with peeled paint distress ink, i then turned them over lightly misted with water.  and began shaping. I used stamens from Dress My Crafts to add the detail in the center of these florals. I cut the bucket out from one of the coordinating papers from the collection pack.

thank you for dropping by and checking out my latest for Elizabeth Craft Designs

It is a beautiful floral framed project and I love how it turned out.

Altered Book Cover - Dusty Attic

HI friends and welcome back. I have a project share for you today designed for Dusty Attic. Todays project is based on the mood board for April and i have designed a book cover.

This project is inspired by Antonis Tzanidakis. I used the  oranges in the mood board and created this.

The base of my book cover is on one of Tim Holtz Configurations. I began by adding a coat of gesso, heat setting it and then using one of Prima Marketing Stencils, i used some light paste and heat set that to dry.

I painted over that with a thin layer of rust paste, waited for that to dry and then went over that with a thin layer of crackle paint mixed with turquoise paint, and did a thin layer over parts of the cover, not the entire cover

Using the Skeleton Clock, gears, and the geo panel, which i cut to fit the middle of the clock. i had a few metal pieces i added from my stash, i had that small sea horse left over.  Its a bit small for this project and still love how it turned out. I added glued these all together and added rust paste.

Thank you for dropping by and I hope you like my take on the mood board this month, until net time, Happy Scrapping

Materials:

Mini Cogs #2; Skeleton Clock;  Decorative Hinge #3; Mini Shells; Geo Panel #3

Thinking of You - Elizabeth Crafts

Good Morning Friends and Welcome back to my blog. I am sharing a new card designed with the Florals 4 Release from Elizabeth Crafts.

I used florals 16 and the new Frame Die

For this card, i also used the new frame die. In order to have it fit this card, i cut down on the straight end of the frame, and kept the angled end, the way it was, I cut a piece of pattern paper to use as the background and
adhered the frame on top.

I colored the florals using Distress Inks -

Picked Raspberry, Kitsch Flamingo, and a bit of Antique Linen.

Using my shaping tool, as well as the groove tool and my fingers, i shaped these to resemble Hibiscus. When we are in Florida, the Hibiscus are always in full bloom and they look so beautiful, so my idea came from that.

Thank you for dropping by today and I hope i have inspired you to give the new Florals Volume 4 a try.

Believe in Yourself- 49 and Market

Hello friends and welcome back to my blog. Today I am sharing another Jun Journal designed for 49 and Market.

Creating this from scratch using Papers from the Vintage Artistry Natural Collection, very similar to the first junk journal i designed, i added ephemera, washi tape, tags and laser cuts throughout to embellish this junk journal.

the cover has rustic Blooms on it, to coordinate with the beautiful Avesta Washi Tape.  I will show you a couple images of the inside of the journal

using the tags and adding the rub on transfer to add more detail to the pages, the laser cuts from the curators is perfect to add more dimension and layers.

i added some of my own crochet trim, using some of the bookplates from the CURATORS collection, i trimmed some down and glued front to back to some of the pages

the front of the cover i sued a metal clasp to add detail, the Rustic Blooms i added some snow paste.  there is crochet trim under all the flowers. The rust look was added by using acrylic paint.

I hope you like my project this week, until next time

Happy Scrapping.
