Let it Bee Folio2 - Graphic 45

 Hello Friends and welcome Back

Today i wanted to share a project I have been working, on, well, off and on, since my return from holidays early April.

This is designed using the Let it Bee Paper Collection from Graphic 45. The Folio, i admit, is not my design. The base is a tutorial i purchased from Paper Phenomenon, it is Folio 2, Style 3

I did my own take on most of the inside, and the cover.  I added more flips and pockets.

I first saw this Folio at a crop I attended while on holidays in Florida and a gal i met ( Christina Mann )  was working on one, and had one all completed with photos of her recent cruise and I have to say, i wanted to try and make one myself. In total, it has taken me about 40 hours to complete. With all the added flips, and pockets. I did not do it all at one time, but a few hrs here and there during my free time.  I often look at it and wonder, is it complete? Should i add more?

This particular Folio took 30 sheets of cardstock, with my added flips and pockets, cover design, it was well over 40 sheets of black cardstock,

I used Kraft-Tex for the binding.

It also took about 30 sheets of pattern paper ( i havent really counted the pattern paper, I can tell you it took a lot) And 20 magnets.

I used Pink Fresh Banner die to add some magnetic closures on one of the front flips, a border punch from my stash. I used the Journal cards and the added die cut package.

here is the Folio flat.

The Folio upright.

side detail of one of the front flips.

A peek at the folio when you first open it.

Left inside the Folio.

It truly is a gorgeous Folio, and I know i will make more.

I know you will love it as much as i have enjoyed putting it together.

Here is my walkthrough, i have updated my blog post to add this video in.

The Journey Awakens the Soul - Dusty Attic

Hello Friends, welcome to my blog today as I share a project that i created for Dusty Attic.

I have an altered mini album cover to share using a black foundation album 2.0 from 49 and market.

I began by using a stencil from Prima and applied texture paste in areas on the cover to add some detail.  If you haven't figured it out yet, I love time pieces, and anything to do with time. So Many of my projects will have clocks on them, and this one falls right in that category.

I didnt want to leave the spine uncovered, so I added the Fancy Trim in the middle of the spine.
I continued to adhere all my chipboard pieces. I added a resin handle that i had made along with metal heart and small heart with wings.

Then i gessoed everything with black gesso.

I went over with metallique paint, Light Patina which when dry, turned this blueish color. And resembles denim.  I detailed some of he shadows with Burnt Sienna Fluid Acrylic. and then lightly went over with gold wax using my fingers.

I added an old metal trinket i had in my metal box, "The Journey Awakens the Soul" Which i felt was fitting for this project.

There is the album full view, I hope you have enjoyed my project share for you today.

Here are the chipboard pieces i used.

So Beautiful - 49 and Market

Hello friends and welcome back to my blog. Today I am sharing a 12 x 12 layout designed for 49 and Market using the Avesta Collection.

I used a die cut frame to frame my photo and then add the florals

I made the photo black and white so the colors in the pattern paper would shine through and those flowers would pop.

I used the tags and tucked then in and around the flag pieces i cut.  I used these on top and bottom of the photo frame to add more layers.

above is the banner and tag detail, i love how this turned out.

I wanted to show you the flowers,  I feel they really enhance the beautiful paper and show off the baby photo beautifully

Thank you for dropping by today.

Happy Birthday - Elizabeth Craft Designs

Good Morning Friends and welcome back to my blog as I share a project with you for Elizabeth Craft Designs. This is designed using the Volume 4 Florals using Florals 15.

Cutting the florals out using Soft finished cardstock, i colored them with saltwater Taffy Distress ink and the leaves with Peeled Paint

Shaping them using my shaping mat, i added some stamens to the center.

To create the dress i took a 5.75 x 12 inch piece of patterned paper cardstock and scored every 1/2 inch. Making sure to fold so that the ends were able to be folded inward. I free hand drew the top of the dress to create a tank style top and wrapped gold thread and colored seam binding to coordinate with the card.

I cut the Mandala die and used it on the left side of the dress to add more detail. I hope you enjoy my card and have fun creating with the new florals. I due cut the banner from the Book Box and stamped the sentiment using Black Archival Ink.

above project inspired by Rajni Chawla

Until next time, Happy Scrapping
