Joy to the World - Sizzix

Hello creative friends welcome back to my blog.

Today I am sharing another Christmas card with you. I created this card using the Reindeer Mix Custer Stamp and Die Set (666713) from 49 and Market for Sizzix, designed by Katie Pertiet.

When i was first planning my card class with R&R Scrapbooking in Edmonton, I thought i would use this set, but decided to use the Darling Deer Instead.  I thought i should revisit this set and created this card.

I added some stencil work and crackle pasted to my altered background, did the same with the two tags.

I added in some cuts from Funky Festive (663101) The tags were cut from
Tags 3 ( 662838) and the Scallop Circle is 657552

I love the sentiment from  Seasonal Vibes 2 (666319)

Thank you for dropping by today.

Thankful Together - 49 and Market

Hello Creative Friends and welcome back to my blog. Today I am sharing a Journal I created using the gorgeous Vintage Orchard Collection from 49 and Market.

The base of this Journal was cut using the Full Size Journal die from Sizzix designed by Eileen Hull. The finished size measures 61/4 x 8.75 its a great size.

I did make a few changes as I only had chipboard on hand, and when i first cut the base out, i wasn't happy with the bulk i had for the spine ( was using what i had on hand)

So i cut everything using the die, then designed the spine out of kraft tex, I used Eyelets and ran black elastic for my signatures.

My Signatures are cardstock from the Vintage Orchard Collection cut to fit the journal ( 71/4 x 11) I still need to decorate the rest of the pages, but wanted to share what i have put together, the most difficult part of the journal is completed.

The inside front cover, i created a pocket and tucked in some photo frames and used some ephemera.

Thank you for dropping by today.

Merry Christmas Card - Sizzix

Hello friends and welcome back to my blog. Today I am sharing a Christmas card I created over the weekend. It was Thanksgiving weekend here in Canada. We had time to get the water toys out of the water and stored them for winter, lots of movie time with the family, and I also managed to get some play time in.

I have had the Etcetera Cathedral Window  waiting to be played with so I dug that out, used paper from 49 and Market, Evergreen season. I mated that on Gold from Sizzix and had to use the Vault seasonal sketch for the leaves and flowers.

I began by doing a smooshing technique on water color paper and letting that dry, while that was drying, I painted the larger Window with Cream Arcylic paint and let that dry. When that was dry, I  added a somewhat thick layer of Crackle Paste and set aside to dry.

I cut out flowers from my colored paper, and added Utee and glitter to them. I cut the top layer out of Sizzix Opulent Gold Cardstock.

I wanted the window to look old, so i colored some acetate with alcohol ink and added some Gold Alloy to that, when that was dry I layered the back of it with Collage Paper, i know its not really noticeable but in some spots you can see it.

I added crackle paste to the dry Cathedral Window and when that was dry went over it with Brushed Corduroy Crayon with a wet cloth and let that dry. It looks amazing.

I put the flowers together and decided they needed a bit of snow paste too, so i did that and then sprinkled with more glitter. I used one of the sentiments from the Christmas Noel set

Holly Jolly Christmas- Christmas Inspiration

 Hello Creative Friends,

I had a bit of a play today with some new goods i bought while in Edmonton. ( at R&R Scrapbooking) I was inspired by the new Holiday Release from Tim Holtz and created this 6x9 Clipboard.

I had this Clipboard in my stash for awhile, so its a bit larger than some of the clipboards.

I began by trimming down the Christmas tree ephemera to make it appear in the window, i added the acetate to the back of the window. I layered in holly and the poinsettias and added some grit paste snowfall and sprinkled it with glitter.

I created a window scene of this little guy getting caught by Santa. The look on his face says it all. I had a lot of fun putting this together and love how it turned out. Hope you like it too.
