Enjoy the Journey~See the World.

Hi Friends and welcome to my blog.  Today i am sharing a mixed media layout using the Tropical Paradise Collection from Heartfelt Creations.  This collection is perfect for all your tropical vactions of course, but you can also just use the Plumerias and a few of the elements in the collection to create a focal layout with just one photo as i have done here.

My layout is a 12x12 base, but i used a 10.5 x 10.5 canson water color paper to create my main background using acrylic paints; distress inks and gesso.  The photo was taken last year while i was in Nova Scotia at Peggys Cove, such a fantastic tourist spot.

I used some of the pattern paper from the collection along with some cardstock; and Papericious chipboard.

I wanted the title with the Macaw to be simple as i didnt want to clutter the colored image with flowers and take away from this little colored gem.  I think the flowers would have hidden the feather detail in the tail.

I love how this turned out! Until next week

Add plumerias and leaves; complete layout.  If you wish to add sparkle use the sparkle pen; and crystal clear powders.
