Peace Christmas Card - Sizzix

 Hello Creative Friends:

I have a card share for you today using some Sizzix favorites.

The paper is from the Evergreen Collection designed by Katie Pertiet for 49 and Market.

I used the Folk Numbers from Catherine Pooler ( 666723) as well as the Vault Holiday Classic ( 666716) and White Christmas ( 666725)

That Postage Edge die is from Pinkfresh Studio and the stitched circle die is from Prism Studio.

I matted it in Gold Opulent cardstock from Sizzix.

Love is a Song - Sizzix and 49 and Market

 Happy Saturday Creative Friends:

I have a project share for you today. This is a over sized tag, designed using papers and elements from Birdsong collection designed by Katie Pertiet for 49 and Market. The flowers, are the Painterly Blooms designed by Eileen Hull Designs for Sizzix.

I know winter is just arriving here in my area of Northern Ontario,

but there is always a hope for spring, green grass and spring flowers.

Happy Holidays - Sizzix

 I have a project share for you. This is a oversized tag which i adorned with the Seasonal Sketch by Tim Holtz for Sizzix.

I was aiming for a rustic look; I think i might have achieved that.

I did a double embossing technique on the large tag (Now, I believe this is a term i use, i embossed the tag, painted with Distress paint, went over it with some inks and dabbed waxes and when it was dry, I dry embossed the tag again) I didn't want to lose the embossed look which can sometimes happen.

I used alcohol inks on my window and under that is a embossed sentiment using a stamp from Stampers Anonymous. I also incorporated my new favorite die the Keyhole from PhotoPlay Paper. The center stamens i made from scratch and they really showcase that flower.

Deck the Halls - Sizzix

 Good Morning and welcome to my blog. Today I am sharing a make inspired by all the snow that hit our area over a period of three days. 

Although we did not get as much as our neighboring city (Sault Ste Marie) we did receive about a 18 inches on our side of St Joseph Island. 

I have had the paper village dies in my stash calling my name ( yes that happens, LOL) 

At first i thought i put too much snow paste, ( is there such a thing) but considering the amount of snow that hit our area, it was kind of perfect.

Christmas Ornaments - Sizzix

 Good Morning and Happy Friday Creative friends:

I had a chance to play with the Ornament Box designed by Catherine Pooler for Sizzix, this was such a fun project to do.

Aside from these making really great Ornaments, I also seem them as really awesome place cards.

I began by cutting out all the elements outlined on the back of the die packaging ( Ornament Box 666728) I knew i wanted to do handmade florals, so i added some on the inside and the outside of the box.

I also knew i wanted to add acetate to the front so you can see the floral work on the inside.

I really love how these turned out, i wanted to do red and green in the traditional Christmas Colors. The pattern paper is from Mintay, that i had in my stash.

Making Spirits Bright - Sizzix

 Good Morning and Happy Saturday Creative friends:

Once in a while a oversized card calls for a large floral. This beauty is designed using the Poinsettia ( 663464) from Lisa Jones for Sizzix.

This finished card measure 5.5 x 7.5 . I used Tim Holtz Backdrops and the numbers are from the ephemera pack.

I die cut a lot of elements and tucked them in and under my oversized florals. I added some fishtails to the bottom to elevate this beauty even more.

Peace - Christmas Card - Sizzix

 Hello friends and welcome  back to my blog today as i share with you a Christmas card designed using a few of my favorites from Sizzix. 

I really wanted to revisit the Cosmopolitan Merry and Light set from Stacey Park by Sizzix. so i began by creating a textured background. 

I did a smooshing technique using antique linen and evergreen bough distress ink. Heat setting in between each layer. I then stamped using white pigment ink and I heat set with white embossing powder, stamping randomly ontop of the background. Then went over with Mini Stencil Set 32- Merry Christmas.  

I stamped the trees and heat embossed with white embossing powder then colored the edges with Bundled Sage distress ink and Evergreen bough. I matted these on Opulent Cardstock, i did this so the trees wouldn't get lost on the background and give some definition. to the trees. 

I die cut the darling deer and the "peace) using the Opulent and wanted to add some snow texture to the snow banks.
