Love Completely - Dusty Attic

HI friends and welcome back. I have a project share for you today designed for Dusty Attic. Todays project is based on the moodboard for March and I have designed a black and white mixed media project on a 12 x 12 canvas

I began by applying a coat of gesso to the canvas. I then painted all my elements using gray acrylic paint from Stamperia.

the leaves and flourishes i heat set with white embossing powder and cut apart to tuck in between the florals from 49 and market.

The large Mandala, i cut in half and used the two pieces on either side of the canvas

the little garden window, i set on top of the large mandala and added some of the flourishes and 49 and market florals.

The title from Live Beautifully set, i heat set with black embossing powder and set the "completely" apart on top of the florals .

Thank you for dropping by and I hope you like my take on the mood board this month, until net time, Happy Scrapping

Beautiful - 49 and Market

Hello friends and welcome back. I am sharing a layout designed for 49 and Market on the new Avesta paper collection. I also used alot of other goods on this project.

the tag set now in being offered has some amazing detail to them, never mind the ilet or the attach tie string. i sed some here to add layers and dimension to my layout. I used the essential curators laser cuts un the top right corner distress the edge a bit and adding them as an additional layer.

The stitched frames i cut apart to just used them as added layers tucking in the top and bottom of my photo. The rustic posies, although were not a direct match to the photo, i feel, really pop off the project and allow you to look closer at the beautiful Aquilina, a baby girl of a friend of mine.

I used the doilies from the Ephemera pack adding them as layers under my photo, allowing me to add more dimension. I then dabbed gesso onto the flowers and a bit of snow paste topping them off with a bit of glitter, added in some art stones for more detail.

I hope you like my project share today using the gorgeous Avesta Collection.

Birdhouse Florals - Elizabeth Crafts

HI Friends and welcome to my blog. Today I am sharing a card designed  for Elizabeth Craft Designs using florals 5 and the Birdhouse Die from Joset.

I created Daisies from Florals 5 using a groove tool to add dimension to the petals. I colored using sunflower archival ink and used prills in the center
( they are called Rippit)

The birdhouse is perfect for a card, and with snow still on the ground in my area i felt adding a bit of snow paste to the top of the house

To add some detail to the background I set the birdhouse on a die cut using the Stitched Circles, i love adding layers using the stitched dies. And then added the floral burst background for that elegant touch.

I love how this cute little card turned out, and thank you for dropping by!

I thought the Floral Burst background set off the daisies and love how that gold mirri mimic my handmade daisies, Thank you for dropping by and until next time, Happy Scrapping!

A Great Day to Remember - Dusty Attic

Hi Friends and welcome back to my blog, today i am sharing a mixed media project i designed for Dusty Attic.

This is a 12 x 12 layout, using a photo of hubby and I when we visited the Grand Canyon four years ago, i so want to go back, it sure has one amazing view from every corner.

To begin with, I added texture paste to the chipboard pieces i wanted to use, heat set to dry then added layers of color using rust paste, gold coin paint and turquoise spray

I used one of the clocks from the Skeleton clock set and added it to the center of one of the cog frames. Tucking in two smaller cogs to the left of the clock and the nuts and bolts.

One of the large cog frames was use to frame my photo

While the chipboard was drying, I added a layer of gesso, topped that with texture paste from one of my favorite stencils. i used the same mediums i used on my chipboard, and applied that to my background, I love how it turned out, and hope you do too.
