Its Karan Gerber hosting the blog for you today and I have a shaker card idea to share with you using the Sweet Peony from Heartfelt Creations.
I love the circle dies that Heartfelt Creations has released and feel they are perfect for shaker cards, so I wanted to share a shaker card idea with you.To begin find two coordinating patterned papers in the Sweet Peony Collection. Card Base is 5×7. Dark pink is 5×7 and the peony flower paper is 4.75 x 6.75
Stamp two sets of large Peony using Ranger Coffee Archival Ink on white card.
Stamp and cut three sets of the small peony – using the largest in this yet, we will need three sets of this.
Cut out the eyelet oval circle.
We will need come pattern paper cut out of the circle dies to use as mats.
And the white ring to create a shaker card.
Be sure and cut out a cover on clear cardstock.
You have an idea what it looks like below for the shaker park of the card.
I used some diamond dust for the shaker.ut out one of the sweetheart border dies on white card.
Layer that die cut in some areas of the card, crating a distressed piece by tearing back a bit of the paper, tuck the sweetheart border die in behind.
Lets color our die cut flowers and leaves.
Begin with Ranger Archival sunflower yellow in the center and the petals with magenta hue and pink peony archival ink.
Color the leaves using Ranger Archival leaf green ink.
Pierce the center of the peony flowers with a piercer to make room for the stamen/foam bud; turn over and mist lightly with water from the back, mold using the molding mat and stylus.
Color the foam bud yellow using the sunflower archival ink and a dauber and insert into the center of the flower, add a second layer, and apply some adhesive in behind the foam bud to secure it in place.
Detail the flower with crystal clear.
Create two layered peonies using two of the largest small peony, one medium large and one large peony. Add the foam bud and detail with crystal clear. Detail the leaves too.
