Sidekick Prompts - Postage Stamps

Hello Creative Friends and welcome back to my blog!

I am working on getting caught up with my sidekick Prompts and today I am sharing March 16 Prompt - Postage Stamps! Now although there are no postage stamps per say, the numbers I used are from the Postage Stamp Die Set

The photo is from a winter storm that hit our area, and really although the temps in our area are cooler, our winter has been very mild compared to what we are use to.

For this prompt, i used a few Planner Essential Sets to complete this
Sidekick Page. I started with Sidekick 5 for the page.

I used the tags from Tab 4 which i cut out onto craft paper, i then added the tag topper in black.  i had some strips of fabric left over from a project i attempted ( it is one of those WIP, that i never completed)

I really want to do some sewing on my pages moving forward. so i sewed a couple strips onto the tag. Really this was a test to see if i wanted to continued doing this, and well, yes, i most certainly do! SO i die cut the numbers from the Postage Stamp Set, and ran the tag through my sewing machine again.

I also used the banner from File Folder Set 1, and then sewed that onto the tag.

I also used the 2004 - Sidekick Pocket to die cut the photo, and i also sewed that on the tag. then adhered the tag onto my page.

I love how my page turned out and hope to have inspired you to try some sewing on your pages too.

Until Next time - Happy Crafting

Sidekick Prompts - Update

 Hello Friends:
Sharing two sidekick pages for prompts from Feb 17 and March 2,
The Prompt for Feb 17 was Love and March 2 was Portrait.

So i combined both of these prompts and did a double page layout keeping them somewhat simple.  A bit of a back story on the photos,  my hubby and youngest son went to Arizona for three weeks,. Of course we had to venture up to Grand Canyon Park. We went here on March 4.

I had ephemera left over from a kit and used a few pieces on both pages. On the left page, which the March 2 Prompt _ Portrait-

The photo is of hubby and my youngest with Grand Canyon in the background.

Galen could not believe his eyes, he thought it was a 3D painting. It was quite a day seeing his reaction.

Seriously if you ever get the opportunity to go, just do it, you wont be disappointed ( this was our second time there, but Galen's first) and I am so glad we went. to see his reaction to one of the worlds wonders was speechless.

The base page i cut onto vellum and use the insert from sidekick 19 for the photo mat.

for March 2, the Prompt was Portrait

I used a photo i captured of the two of them at the Canyon. Had some ephemera left over from a previous kit and popped that on here too. I also Used Sidekick Essentials 19 and cut out the reinforcement title on plain craft cardstock

The photo i decided to cut using the Phone die from the Postage Stamps Fillers 2

thank you for dropping by today !

The Very Best Memories - 49 and Market Class - Scrapfest

Hello Creative Friends and welcome to the 49 and Market Blog today. I wanted to share an upcoming class with you that I have designed for an event coming up in Kitchener, Ontario.

This event is Scrapfest

I am honored to have been teaching at this event for the past 9 years and thrilled to bring a 49 and Market Mixed up Album as one of my classes.

This class will be held Saturday, April 13, from 10:00 a.m. until 2:30 pm In Kitchener Ontario, Yes it is an in person event.

The Album is designed using the new Color Swatch Teal and what a stunning collection it is. I love the teals and taupes throughout the collection which  showcases those favorite family photos.

The album is filled with the ephemera and laser cuts and I added in some of my own personal touches, I created  pocket pages, a water fall and page flips to all you to add even more photos to this gorgeous album.

I often used ribbon to create my closures but this time I designed a  belly band which wraps the entire album.

If you live in south western Ontario, and would like to take part in the class, I would love to have you join me in this class. You can find all the details here:
