Sidekick Planner - Recent Cruise

Hi Friends, I had the opportunity to teach on a cruise in Nov for Crafters Therapy Cruise and Retreats and I had such a blast. Made many new friends. although travelling was not what it once was, i followed the protocols in place, and made it safely to the port and back to Canada

Using the Iris Shutter and Planner Essentials 4 ( the round dies) i wanted the shutter to look like a ships port hole. so i added 28 brads to the circle die and used patina alcohol ink to add that special patina look

above the Iris Shutter Open

I taught an A5 Planner class on the Cruise, but i wanted to do a smaller format for the photos. So i dug out my Sidekick planner. I have purchased most of the dies, ( was given the second release back in Feb, but been concentrating on the florals so much i haven't got back to the Sidekick. I set about creating a planner for the cruise. I did share the cover page on Facebook but have a few more pages here to share with you. I have used quite a few sets in my collection

I really wanted this planner to be all about the photos and the journaling.  There is really no order to the photos, i just wanted to document the week and get as many photos as i could into the Sidekick.

Costa Maya was a gorgeous port to visit, the handmade pottery was stunning

ROATON, honduras was one of the ports we stopped at, we were not in the port long, mainly just to grab a few photos and back on the ship

I used the Sidekick wave pocket above left and cut off the pocket to use it as a page

Janet, Tammy and I thought maybe we should try some DuanJuan Tequila as we heard it was the smoothest, we came across a little bar and decided to try a shot, it was more like two shots, but its was pretty good.  Still photos to add to the left page

the classroom left and on the right photos from Coco Cay Beach Day.

i met two wonderful ladies in the class and we seemed to click, so we hang out in my spare time, they were a hoot to be around with and i was happy they invited me to join in one of their excursions to Nachi Cocom in Cozumel. Still a few details i need to add to the above pages.  Possibly some twine and a title to that envelope, but its in the planner so that's a start :d

Crafting and Cruising is simply a fun way to meet new people, not having to worry about cooking, or cleaning, and you can craft your days away if you are not interested in going to port. The craft room was open 24/7 and it seriously was so much fun.

it was a great time, and i made some wonderful friends, I dont remember laughing so hard and looking back now, i cant believe its come and gone and I was there!

and below is where i finished and have a couple empty pages, i will likely add a bit more/  You have an idea how you can easily put a sidekick planner together.

I know most people will ask what printer i used to print my photos so small, i have a Canon Selphy, and i can set the grid on there to print a smaller format, and although the paper for this printer is glossy, i still like that i can print at home when i need

Until Next Time, Happy Planning! :D

Tis The Season Snow Globe - Elizabeth Crafts

Hi Friends and welcome to my last blog post for the year for Elizabeth Craft Designs, it was a little over a year ago when i first began my journey with Elizabeth Crafts, creating with their florals and A5 Planner dies this past year has been so much fun. I just couldn't close out my year without sharing one final Christmas Card.

At this point, I am not sure what 2022 will bring with Elizabeth Crafts, but I hope you love my final project.

The florals were designed using Florals 12, i know i have shared a lot of projects with these florals, but Christmas to me, isn't just a day, it isn't just a month, its a season, and this Season my family and I have much to be thankful for.

Here on St Joseph Island, we see deer all the time. They are almost sighted each day we head out for errands. I couldn't resist creating a shaker card with Joset's Globe and those deer and trees.

To begin with, I cut out the globe and than traced it out on acetate so i have a full size piece for the front of the globe. I fussy cut out foam tape and tape the back trim of the die to create a shaker card. I placed glitter on the inside of the shaker

i cut four of the trees from the Winter Scenery Die Set, and cut thin strips of foam tape to adhere to the back of the trees to add some dimension to the globe and adhered the deer from the Snow Globe Sidekick Set to the front, i just love how this looks it creates an awesome winter scene in that globe doesnt it?

Die cutting out 6 large and 6 medium florals along with 6 leaves i colored and shaped them ( if you are a member of the Elizabeth Crafts family Group on Facebook, I did a Live on Friday, Dec 17th and you can see just how i shaped and created those gorgeous florals here: Live Facebook with Karan, if you are not a member, be sure to become one so you can view the replay.

So getting back to my card, I stamped and heat embossed my sentiment from the Classic Christmas Sentiments set using White Embossing Powder and attached that to the bottom of the card.

My final step was to add snow paste and i thought some Art Stones would be a nice touch and look like snow balls around the florals.

Thank you for following me along this year with my Craft shares for Elizabeth Crafts, Have yourself a Merry Christmas and I am praying that 2022 will see us all back to normal. Blessings for a bright, prosperous and Healthy 2022.

Yes it was snowing when i took this photo, so fitting for the style of my card Happy Scrapping and I hope to be sharing more with you in 2022!

Believe in the Magic - Elizabeth Crafts

Hi Friends, i have another project share for you today. This one is designed using a few dies and new stamp from Elizabeth Craft Designs.

I was inspired by Emma Willams, you can find her original card here.

I began by using water color paper, and used Speckled Egg and Salvaged Patina Distress inks in a smooshing technique, heat setting in between each layer of color.

when that was dry i added a thick layer of crackle paste and had to let that dry over night

when that was dry i went in with a light coat of weathered wood. I then used the dotted background die to create a stencil and added a layer of paste, dabbing glitter on top while it was still wet, i put that aside to dry.

i cut each snowflake die out three times, using ECD adhesive on each layer, i adhered those together and colored each one. adding snow paste on top when it was dry.

below is my final card. Be sure to drop on by Emma Willams blog to see her beautiful work.

Until next time, Happy Scrapping!!

Joyful Wishes - Elizabeth Craft

Hello Friends and welcome to my blog. Today I have a floral card to share with you, designed using some of my favorite floral dies from Elizabeth Crafts.

I started by die cutting leaves, and florals coloring them using Smoky Gray Versa Ink and Victorian Velvet Distress ink. The Lacy Leaf was cut form gray cards tock as was the fern from the Berries and Branches.

i added a touch of Victorian Velvet ink to the center of the leaves just for a bit of detail

i added some prills from my stash and dabbed a bit of snow paste on top

tucking in the lacy leaf and the fern to add more layers a few detail shots above and below

I would love to see some of your beautiful cards designed using Florals 7, I hope you have enjoyed my card today.

Merry Christmas - Scrapboys

Hi Friends and welcome back to my blog. Today i have another Christmas card to share using dies from Elizabeth Crafts and the Perfect Harmony Notecard from Spellbinders,
I designed this on Papers from the Hello Winter Collection from Scrapboys.

I cut florals from florals 12 from Elizabeth Crafts and colored them using distress inks.

i love how these turned out, i think they have been one of my absolute favorites from the florals release this year.

I die cut the Perfect Harmony Notecard and attached a magnet so that there could be a gift card tucked underneath. I fussy cut a few details from the Cut out sheet in the Hello winter Collection. Here i tucked in the bells under the poinsettias on the flap

I die cut the Village Edges from Elizabeth Crafts and then used the stitched indented rectangles to add more layers to my card.

Added some pollens from Dress My Craft to the centers to add that perfect detail to these florals.

I hope you like my Christmas Card share with you today. Below are some of the materials i used on this project.

Happy Scrapping
