Some Kind of Wonderful - Dusty Attic

 Hello Creative Friends and welcome back to my blog today as i share a layout that I designed for Dusty Attic. This is designed on paper from 49 and Market Curators, and some of their florals and laser cuts. 

My layout is based on this months mood board and I used some of the rose and tan colors in my layout. But decided to keep the chipboard white.  

Using the Ironwork as a border and focal point for the layers i built ontop, i heat set it with white embossing powder and did the same with the title and the corner flourish. 

I colored on the inside of Some Kind Of with a grey marker to help those words stand out a bit.

Do What You Love - 49 and Market

 Hello creative friends, it is Karan Gerber back to share a project and I have designed a wall piece decor. 

I traced out a MDF piece onto chipboard and used that as my background. Tracing that out on paper from the Avesta Collection.

Using some Dusty Attic Chipboard to add some details and layers, i embossed those with white embossing powder.  I then used some laser cuts from the Avesta Collection and tucked them in and around all those gorgeous florals

Adding some color to the center of the larger white florals and snow paste to the smaller buds and florals added great detail. 

I hope you enjoy my project share with you today and create some wall decor of your own.

Thank you Friend - Elizabeth Crafts Designs

 Hello creative friends and welcome back to my blog today sharing a project for Elizabeth Craft Designs. Today i wanted to work with Florals 7 to create Sunflowers. 

I used the soft finish cardstock and die cut out florals 7 flowers and leaves.  I colored the flowers with Sunflower Archival Ink 

I colored the leaves with Peeled paint, a bit of Vintage Photo and dabbed on some gold paint. 

to finish off the flowers i added root beer seed beads in the center. 

I die cut the bucket and colored it the same way as I did the leaves. 

Here is my finished card, i hope you have some time to create some fun sunflowers on your next project.

Remember This- Dusty Attic

 

Hello Creative Friends and welcome back to my blog today. I am sharing a mixed media project with you designed for Dusty Attic. This is a photo of my hubby, which i know i have scrapbooked before, but it is such a great photo on our beach and i was moved to create another project.

For this i used a MDF board, glued two together and added some mediums, heat setting in between to achieve the look i wanted. I wanted the background to resemble old walls with lots of plaster texture. 

I cut apart the large skeleton clock i have left ( one of my favorite pieces. Added in some fish net, there is one gear in there ( im running low on those (wink)) and the largest anchor i had. I did use the Prima marketing mould and created a large anchor using resin.  

The anchor was painted and colors added until i achieved the look i was going for. I hope you like my project today and will see you next time.

Wide Open Spaces - 49 and Market

 Hello friends and welcome to my blog today as i share a project designed for 49 and Market. This past week our grand children were visiting from southern Ontario and we all had such a great time. 

The grands really enjoyed being so close to the beach and my daughter in law grabbed this photo of our grandson walking down to the beach with one of our dogs, Sadie, a 11 month old German Shepherd. Sadie seemed to really take a liking to Judah and followed him everywhere. 

The Curators Meadow Collection was perfect for this photo, i mean those mushrooms, like seriously!! SO perfect for a woodsy project! I used a;; the mushrooms but two from the laser cut sheet, layering them using foam adhesive, on top of each other. 

Using some of the rub ons i added those to add more detail to the layout. The ephemera was perfect for layering around the photo which i added a stitched frame to. Tucking in some of the larger photo mats under the photo mats. 

I absolutely love how this layout turned out with all those gorgeous mushroom laser cuts, they really suit this photo and I hope you give these cuts a try on your next project.
