Family - 3D Vignette Mini Album-Scrapboys

 Hello friends and welcome to my blog today.

Today i have a 3D Vignette album designed using the Universal Spine Die, i love how this turned out, i used the Flowers Story Collection form Scrapboys. here it is.

After cutting out the base of the die 6 times, and then the detail out 12 times, i created this little mini album using the Cinch n Go Flowers on the cover.

I love rust paste, i cant seem to get enough of it, i thought this little mini would look great with some paste. So i dabbed it on the flowers and leaves ( using the brown, yellow and orange rust paste) heat setting in between layers.

If you have never tried rust paste, you should pick up a small bottle and play with it, it requires no priming; and almost dries on its own within minutes especially if you apply a thin coat and for this awesome little mini, i love it!

The Open View; when i create my mini albums, i am often gifting them to friends and family so i leave them blank so they can add their own photos and journalling.

once i have the album assembled, i decided the edges of the papers would look good with a bit of paste on them too, so i just dabbed some paste on the outside of the covers edges and on the sides of the album pages, it looks way more awesome in real life, and i know im going to be creating a few more like this.

the spine i felt, would also look good with some rust paste so i dabbed a bit on the spine and then topped it with a bit of gold wax.

Until Next time

Happy Scrapping

Amazing Paper Grace February Die of the Month Blog Hop

The February Die of the Month is an interactive card, but don't be fooled, the pieces and parts assemble to make lovely normal cards and ensembles.  We all love interactive cards too though and this one is addicting to open.  Becca designed a slightly elegant version of a shutter card that you can dress it up and dress it down to your heart's desire.  Say hello to The Elegant Reveal Shutter Card.

Today we're hopping to give you additional ideas on how to use the dies that come in the set.  There are several gorgeous inlay dies and a nested set of dies that create apertures or create frames.  Just imagine making a box or a basket.  We've even talked about creating a candle or a votive holder!  The dies are perfect for the cover of any card but think about using the reveal sliders on top of a box.  Here's to hoping you find some time to grab the dies and manage to sit down and play.

Here are the dies included in the set:

My Project Today:

I wanted to create a basket with this die. And only used this  die on both projects today.
With Valentines coming up and Easter not to far around the corner, what better way to give hand made then with a candy basket.
Wouldn't this basket look awesome filled with Chocolate Hearts or Easter Eggs?
The bottom is reinforced with chipboard and i added little pebble feet onto it too.

I also created a card using this set:

I have magnets on the closure.  To me,  shutter cards do not close as well unless you have ribbon tied around them, so between the two layers of the die on the cover i have magnets placed to keep it secure when closed and with it partly open you can see how the inside shutter opens, its a brilliant Design, thank you Becca!

My Sentiment Exactly;
"Get out of your comfort zone there are no rules to creativity"

Supply List:
Stamps: Uniquely Creative: Creative Quotes:
Paper: Prima Marketing Apricot Honey;
Bazzill smooth cardstock
Ink: Ranger Archival Black and Wendy Vecchi Tea Rose
Accessories: HC Stamens and May Arts Seam Binding
colored with Tea Rose Archival Ink

 I
We can’t wait to see what you make with these exclusive dies – be sure to post your creation on the Amazing Paper Grace Die of the Month page -------> HERE or on Instagram using the hashtag #AmazingPaperGraceClubKit

Thank you for dropping by
Hope you have enjoyed my projects today!

Journey Dream Catcher - Dusty Attic

HI Friends, welcome to my blog today for some inspiration. I have designed a Dream Catcher for Dusty Attic today and used lots of chipboard and some of my favorite Rust Pastes

This sits on a 6x12 canvas which i added some Patina paste to and more orange paste to complement the Dream Catcher.

I love how this turned out.

I used one of the skeleton clock faces as the largest part of the catcher, adding the circle from the Decorative frame and then finally the Dream Catcher.

I cut apart the Decorative Frame #2 so i could use the circle behind the skeleton clock and i used the flourishes at the bottom of the catcher to add more detail.

I cut apart the mini chains and used them as links; I added in the Feather Charms too.

I hope you love my project this week and looking forward to inspiring you again soon.

Dusty Attic Materials Used:

Dream Catcher 1;
Decorative Frame #2;
Feather Charms;
Cogs and Gears;
Skeleton Clock Frame;
Mini Chains; BluePrint Word Pack

Other Materials:
6x12 canvas; Prims Gesso;
Prima Orange Rust Paste;
Blue Rust Paste;
Prima metal Hardware;
Prima old Wax
Ranger Patina
