Remember This - Dusty Attic

Welcome to my blog and my first post for Dusty Attic, some of you might remember I was on this team in the early part of 2021, but needed to step down to take care of the big move and sale, now all that is behind me and I have been welcomed back .

While waiting on my DT Box to arrive i did some some remnants from my first term and thought i had enough to dig into for my first project.  This layout is designed on the beautiful papers from 49 and Market, using the Sage Collection, along with their gorgeous blooms, and transfer rubons. Using the Ornate Circle Frame, i cut it apart and used it as a layer under two corners.  I embossed it white using white embossing powder.

I tucked part of the ornate frame here under the banners I added, and below, on the top right corner. The frame is large enough to cover most of the layers i have added to enhance my photo.

I did the same with the bluebell #2 and used these as a flourish tucking them in and around my floral clusters.

the title, I brushed it with several coats of white gesso.

here is my layout, thank you for dropping by today and I look forward to inspiring you more this year.

Precious Moments - 49 and Market

Hello Friends and welcome back to my blog,

Today i am sharing a project with 49 and Market and I have a layout to share with you.

Over the Christmas break our grandkids came up for a visit from southern Ontario, and although they were only here a few days, we had so much fun with them. This photo was taken on one of our walks on our trail along our 10 acre property, part of which leads down to our beach front and with all the snow, i felt the Sky collection would work perfectly.

Some of these products might be retired, but i had some in my stash and I know some of you might too. I selected a couple papers, one of which i created a one inch frame all the way around my main background. adding brads to the corners.

Using the Sea glass and White flowers i tucked them in and around my frames and cut apart the leafy vines chipboard i had from Dusty Attic.

From the extra paper from the cut out frame, i cut some fish tails to use as an added embellishment and layer.  I used snow paste and art stones for added texture.

I used two of the doily rub ons from the Rub On Transfers. put them on white cardstock. I then fussy  cut them out and used them as a layer on the right side of my stitched frames, I love the color of them and thought they blended beautifully with the flowers.

i cut one of the stitched frames apart and used a strip in the left corner cluster i created, adding a couple flowers, some embossed chipboard, snow paste and art stones.

I hope I have inspired you to create some winter layouts of your own,

Until Next Time, Happy Scrapping!

Light the Way - Creative Scrapbooker

Hello friends and welcome back to my blog, Today I am sharing a card i created for Creative Scrapbooker using 49 and Market Papers, Rubons, Washi Tape and Ephemera along with dies from Sizzix and Elizabeth Craft Designs.

I wanted to show you how easy it is to put a card together.

My base size is 5.5 x 7, making my first paper mat 5.5 x 7, and my second 5x6.5. On my top layer i added a few strips of Washi Tape

I then inked the edges with Seedless Preserves Distress Ink. Popped this on my card base with foam adhesive to add a little dimension.

Using the Stitched Rectangles from Elizabeth Crafts, and Sizzix Butterflies, i die cut these out.

I added a bit of shaping to these by adding a bit of water to the back and shaping the wings to give them some lift.

The top layer being the smaller rectangle die, i used the Rubons and added some splatters to the paper along with some strips of Washi Tape.

I also used the Butterflies from the Rub On transfers rubbing them onto cardstock and fussy cutting them out, adding a bit of shape to the wings

The Doily, which is my first layer in between the Stitched Rectangles, is also a Rub on which i rubbed onto cardstock and fussy cut out. I felt the large circle doily form the Ephemera Pack would add a great layer and tucked that in under my largest rectangle shown below.

To add even more layers and detail to this card i added some fish tails to the bottom of the largest rectangle.

I thought adding some thread under the largest butterfly would some  texture to the card and tucked some in under the rectangle layers, as you can see peeking through the top of the card.

Retro Bus Kit - Elizabeth Craft Designs

Hi Friends, I received the Retro Bus Kit in the mail yesterday and got started right away on designing my take on this project.

Using a few Planner Essentials I added a few added pages, in total there are 8 pages counting the coin pockets and tags.  Including front and back cover is 10. Here are some added photos for you, the materials i used are listed at the bottom of this post, hope you enjoy my take on the Retro Bus!

I used papers from 49 and Market Artistry Anywhere Collection, the size of the dies i this collection fit the 6x8 paper pack perfectly. You might not be able to get the 6x8 paper pack, but the 12 x 12 will also work. I wasnt able to find the Ephemera from the Anywhere Artistry on Scrapbook . com, but perhaps one of your local retailers will have it in stock :D

Using the large coin pocket, covering the inside with acetate and adding some laser cuts from the paper pack.

Hello Winter - Mason Jar Mini Album

Hello friends and thank you for dropping by. Today i have a mini album to share with you designed using the Mason Jar kit from Elizabeth Craft Designs. On the gorgeous paper collection called Cozy Winter from P13.

I created a shaker on the cover. I die cut the front piece twice on pattern paper and once out on Acetate, adhering the acetate to the front pattern piece cover i used foam adhesive and created strips all along that to create the shaker.

Adding some art stones, prills ( to coordinate with the paper) and some sequins along with a bit of glitter, that created the shaker.

I die cut the trees from the Mason Jar Kit and thought the Village Edges would add a great detail to the cover.

For the inside, here are the pages i created, using the Cozy Winter Collection from P13 was perfect for this project.

i cut each page out twice so they would be thick, using the dies from Planner Essentials 30, i cut out tags and used those as photo mats throughout.

I used some of the journal tags in the collection as photo mats as well, and fussy cut some details out to further embellish my mini mason jar album.

I made sure to cut jar toppers for each page to add more detail,

this page has some tags from the collection that i fussy cut out

these pages have some photo mats tucked in the mason jar belly band, i used the circle label stamps  here.

I hope you give the Mason Jar Kit a try, it makes a gorgeous album.
