Today I am sharing a card designed with the new release from Elizabeth Craft Designs designed by Angelica Turner called Garden Party. Angelica has designed a new paper collection, 6 new die sets, and a stamp set
I am so thrilled this second release is just stunning. I created the above flowers using Wildflowers One (2096)
These are die cut of course on the soft finish cardstock and colored with distress inks. The pattern paper is from Garden Party, part of the new release as well.
I do love a little splatter, my friend Katie calls it Speckle. So i did a bit of splatter on here with Gold metallic Paint and Picket Fence distress paint, its a bit muted here but still gives a great look.
I also used the Stitched Ovals on this card along with the greenery from Pinecones (2089) and cut them apart and tucked them in. I die cut them in a coordinating paper from the new Garden Party.
I hope i have inspired you to check out these new floral dies from
Here to share my take on the new release " From the Past" Designed by Esther Glas for Elizabeth Craft Designs.
This collection is designed for the Sidekick, but there are many elements you can also use in the A5 Planner really easily.
I designed my dashboard using the Sidekick Essentials 30- Basepage and Ticket
Stamping that gorgeous Aviator Girl ( Travels from the past stamp set and die)( seriously she is gorgeous) out twice, fussy cutting out her googles, her shirt and hat)
On page two, I used:
Sidekick Essentials 31; Postage Stamp Page
On this page i used the Correspondence from the Past Stamp, I created a side mini flip using the mail box and adding in a magnet so i could use it as a flip
Using the blend of dies from the Postage Stamp and die cut elements from the paper in the collection
I know i will be using this background for future cards, its not just for planners.
On the back of the Mail Box, i have a few tags that i fussy cut from the paper and stamped the
"photo Here" ( that stamp will be used a lot this year, thank you Esther :D
Hello G45ers and welcome back to my blog! I have a great little project for you designed using the gorgeous Life is Abundant collection.
This is a Desk Calendar for 2024! I created the stand from scratch and will share the measurements here for you. The base is perfect or the 8 x 8 Paper collection but I found the calendar pages from the 12 x 12 perfect for a added background on the calendar i printed.
On the front of each month, i created a 2024 Mini Calendar that i downloaded from the internet and resized on my computer to fit the size i wanted. I printed it out on white cardstock and inked the edges with Linen Ink.
I fussy cut elements for the front of the calendar and on the back,
Above are a few ideas on how you can decorate the back of the pages.
I created a spot to add a photo or some journaling. Cut some elements from the
12 x 12 paper collection, used the Ephemera and some elements from the Tags and Frames through out.
Be creative and have fun decorating the pages. there is no right or wrong way to decorate, Add as much or as little as you want.
I wanted to keep the calendar somewhat flat so all 12 months would fit on the base without adding a lot of bulk. Even though I did add some dimension with Foam Adhesive throughout, its not on every page.
Here are the pages out of the base, this is January and February
March and April
May and June
Here is July and August
Instructions:
1. You will need two sheets of 12 x 12 black chipboard, from that cut out two pieces measuring 8 x 8. This will be the base front and back of the calendar and will be very sturdy.
2. Cut four pieces of pattern paper from either the 12 x 12 or your 8 x 8 papers measuring 7 7/8 x 7 7/8. this will be for the front and the back of the chipboard base.
3. Adhere the pattern papers to the chipboard leaving 1/8" border all the way around.
4. We now need to use our crop o dile or hole punch and punch holes at the top of the chipboard approximately 1" from the top and mark a dot with a pencil at 2 1/2 and 5 5/8. This is where you will punch your hole an set your i-let.
5. Top Hinge:
From black cardstock cut a 2 inch x 8" strip and score on long end at 1". This will be our top hinge which will connect the two pieces together. Fold in half and attach to top of each base placing fold at the top.
6. Base Hinge:
To create the bottom hinge, we will need to cut from black cardstock, a 8 x 6 piece and score on long end at 3/4", 1 1/2 ; 2 1/4", 3" 3 3/4", 4 1/2" and 5 1/4. Fold on all score lines and create mountain and peak hinge. Place adhesive on the outside piece of the hinge and attach to the base of the bottom.
7. you can now use the rings at the top to attach the monthly calendar pages.
8. Monthly Calendar Pages:
Cut 12 pieces from black cardstock measuring 7 1/2 x 6 inches. Also cut from all your lovely pattern papers 24 pieces measuring 7 3/8 x 5 7/8 , this will be for the front and back of the calendar pages.
9. Set I-lets in Calendar Pages:
**First cut a template from a scrap piece of cardstock to be sure you have the holes in the right place before continuing, it will save paper in the long run. **
The center of the first i-let will measure 2 1/4 inch mark from the left edge for the first hole and 5 5/16 for the second hole and 7 /16 from the top of each page. You can check and make sure it will line up on the base of the desk calendar. before setting all the pages with i-let.
10. You can now decorate all the Calendar pages, I did use the 12 x 12 for the monthly 4 x 6 calendar pieces. Which i added the printed calendar to and then decorated from there.
Thank you for dropping by, you can check on my tutorial on how i put the base together and the pages here in this video.
The pattern paper under the background detail die ( also ECD) is from Garden Party, part of the new release as well. The Stamped sentiment is from the new stamp set
You might be wondering how i got the splatters of water on my flowers, well, when i went to take photos of the card outside (as that is where the best natural light is) it was raining, and a few drops hit my card, and i decided to just leave them.
I hope i have inspired you to check out these new floral dies from
Here to share Sidekick Saturday using Prompts- Jan 20 - Memories
Follow along with me this year as I share with you my bi weekly prompts using the Sidekick collection from Elizabeth Craft Designs.
By following along with the prompts every other Saturday you will complete 27 pages by the end of the year, what a great way to get working on your sidekick.
I was wondering what i wanted to do for the Prompt, Memories; and for me, i wanted to use some photos from our Christmas Visit with hubby's family last month.
I had precut my pages, added in was some photos and some text. So on the back of my Dashboard i added in a photo of hubby and his brother Mark, we had such a great time visiting them for a Christmas Celebration with the siblings.
above two photos on my January Memory Page, the first photo, is hubby and I, taken by my sister in law at a Distillery we visited while away for Thanksgiving weekend with the Gerber Siblings.
The bottom one, was most of us, clinking our glass and cheering our Christmas Celebration together. I thought it would make a great photo and I'm glad i was able to capture our time together.
On the back of this page, is a photo of Hubby and I ( far right in he photo) and three of his siblings, This photo was taken on the last day that we were all together on out on the dock of the cottage we rented for the Canadian Thanksgiving. It was such a great weekend, sharing stories, food and lots of games.
thank you for dropping by today i hope i have inspired you to pull out your sidekick and use it to document some of your special memories.
Hello Creative Friends and Welcome to my Blog, today I am sharing another card designed with the new Floral release from Angelica Turner from Elizabeth Craft Designs.
This is Wildflowers 4, which really all i did was cut on colored paper add a bit of shaping and adhere layers together. I also cut out from the greenery fillers and added in layers.
I love using the stitched nested dies from Elizabeth Craft Designs, they add a fine stitched edge to the paper and you can layer them to give a classy look.
thank you for dropping by today, i hope you have enjoyed my card
Hello friends and welcome back to my blog. Today I am here to share with you a mini brag book ( it could also be a mini junk journal) designed using
the Wallet Set. (2076) along with a few other die sets from Elizabeth Craft Designs.
Check out this cute little mini using the wallet set, although Esther has designed this for the A5 Planner, when i first looked at it, i thought it would make a great little mini.
I used my sewing machine throughout this mini ( going through a few layers of paper along with acetate on the cover was a bit much for my machine but it did ok. I did not mind the stitching errors i made i thought it made it look more authentic.
I made a shaker in the cover, used the keys and a retired heart set. Stamped the Book of us from Cs231.
here is the view from the closure side.
Inside front cover and first page, cut some tags from Sidekick Pocket 2
That filmstrip is from PE 24
I used my sewing machine to put some elements together then simply glued them in the mini brag book
Thank you for dropping by today i hope i have inspired you to create with the Wallet Set.
Yesterday during the launch of Garden Party on the Elizabeth Craft Designs Facebook Page, Els Van de Burgt put out a challenge to create a rustic look for Wildflowers 4.
I played a bit today and put this together. This is Wildflowers 4 along with the Greenery Fillers.
Cut on Java cardstock i gave them a bit of shape, set the foam stamen with "my hot glue gun"
( Yes i love my hot glue gun).
I dabbed rust paste on them. The background is a Embossing folder from Spellbinders, which i went over with gold wax.
I then stamped and heat embossed with gold embossing powder using the Garden Party Elements Set. I hope you have fun with these, they are a lot of fun to play with.
Today I am sharing a card designed with the new release from Elizabeth Craft Designs designed by Angelica Turner called Garden Party. Angelica has designed a new paper collection, 6 new die sets, and a stamp set
Its a gorgeous collection, this card is designed with Wildflower 2 along with Greenery Fillers 1. I used papers from Graphic 45 and colored my florals to coordinate with the paper!
I die cut lots of fillers from various papers in the collection to add more dimension. I dabbed on some snow paste and a touch of glitter to add that special touch.
Here is my final card. I know you will love creating with the Garden Party collection.
Hello friends and welcome back to my blog. I'm here to share a card with you for Elizabeth Craft Designs.
I have had that Mushroom in my hands for some time and been so wanting to create a card with it.
I cut it out on craft cardstock as well as pattern paper from Scrapboys.
I added some depth using Vintage Photo distress Ink and love how it turned out. Its such a cute card!
I then die cut florals from Florals 13 and leaves are from Florals 5. I colored the florals using Victorian Velvet Distress ink and used prills in the centers, after adding a light shaping. The leaves were colored with Bundled Sage and thought these colors went well with the papers i selected to use for this card.
I cut the grass from one of the coordinating papers in this collection, using the rounded square to add a layer in craft and assembled the card as shown above, This would make such a great card for a new home buyer, love how that mushroom turned out.
My first project back as a member of the Planner team with Elizabeth Craft Designs is to share my first make using the sidekick planner - along with the Saturday Prompts recently posted.

Here is my take on Jan 6 Prompts: Letters/Text
I used Sidekick 4, 19, 16, as well as PE 37
I used Planner Essentials 37 to do the numbers for the front of the pocket, i want to tuck some photos in there from our New Years Eve Celebration we had. along with a photo mat i tucked in with a paper clip on the front and one on the back of the seed package.
